Colophon
How this site is made.
I build and look after this site with Claude Code, and it’s also where I try out how I like to work with it. This page is the short version of how the words get written and checked.
I talk→Claude Code drafts→claims sheet→judge agent→I cut→site
Words
A lot of it started as me talking.
When a section isn't working I stop rewriting it and record myself explaining it instead. Claude Code turns the voice note into a draft, and then I cut it back until it sounds like me again. The lines I like best on this site are mostly ones I said in passing.
Claims
There's a claims sheet.
It has one row for each thing I say about myself on this site: grades, dates, results, who did what, and where each one comes from. If a sentence can't point to a row, it comes off. It's caught me more than once. My CV had the client count one too high, because the agency's own brand was in the folder.
Judge
Drafts get a second opinion.
A separate agent reads each draft with nothing but a fixed rubric and samples of my real writing. It agrees with me about three times in four, so it gives advice and I make the call.
Build
The build is Claude Code too.
Next.js on Vercel, set in Fraunces, Schibsted Grotesk and Space Mono. The figures on project pages live in one file, each next to the command that produced it, so I re-run them instead of copying them over.
The longer version, with the setup I run Claude Code on, is written up here. Rougher experiments, like the dither and type playgrounds, are in the lab.
